The Consuming Fire
School of Dance Mission

The mission for the Consuming Fire School of Dance is to provide the highest quality of dance by offering students a solid foundation in correct technique.

To encourage the emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth of each individual; and to stretch and strengthen the body while teaching gracefulness and coordination for dance and performance.

Combination classes are offered for younger students at the Consuming Fire School of Dance, in order to provide students with a rounded understanding of all forms of dance.

Classes are offered for ages 3 through adult.

Ballet classes are taught utilizing the Cecchetti graded syllabus technique; Graded Tap technique, Clogging, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Ethnic, Latin, East Coast Swing and Couples Ballroom.

Training at the Consuming Fire School of Dance will assist students to apply for dance scholarships at colleges and universities.

 

  Donna Gimeson, Artistic Director for the Consuming Fire School of Dance & Fitness Center, Inc. in Chadron, NE, graduated with honors from Chadron State College with a degree in Physical Education. She began her training in the Cecchetti graded ballet technique under the direction of Glenna Belle Moenning of San Jose, CA. She has completed four of the Associate Examinations which qualify her to teach the Cecchetti Method of Ballet. She is also qualified to teach Pointe, tap, clogging, jazz, hip-hop, rhythmic gymnastics, and couples basic ballroom dance. She is certified to teach fitness classes, Senior fitness classes, weight training and personal training.
Currently Donna is involved with Nu Delta Alpha, the National Dance Honor Society through the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Nu Delta Alpha is the first national honor society that recognizes Middle School, High School and College Students for outstanding achievement in dance, encompassing performance, choreography, scholarship, technology and community service, sponsored by the National Dance Association.
